Tesco Targets iPhone Owners With Sim Free Contract

Supermarket chain Tesco is using its mobile division to attract iPhone owners who want to invest in an affordable, sim free contract for their smartphone.

The iPhone 4 and new 4S are popular amongst many people, but if you want to get one of these handsets free on a network deal, then you can expect to pay significant sums each month and commit to the same tariff for two years.

However, if you choose a sim only contract like the new offer from Tesco Mobile, then you will only be paying a small amount and experiencing the freedom of not being tethered to the same price plan.

The Tesco Mobile sim only offer aimed at iPhone owners comes with 500 inclusive anytime, any network minutes as well as 5000 texts and a generous 1GB data allowance, plus all the access to BT's Wi-Fi networks as you can use.

This more than adequate allocation of features will cost you £12.50 a month, but you will have to sign up for a three month rolling contract to access it at this low price.

You can choose a 30 day rolling contract for the same offer, but the monthly price will increase to £20. This is still pleasantly low when you consider the inclusions, but by making just a small extra commitment you can save quite a bit of money if you stick with the same deal for an extended period.

Tesco Mobile customers will be making use of O2's network infrastructure and if you wanted a similar sim free offer for your iPhone from this provider then you would be looking to pay about £31 a month, which further indicates the competitive nature of the retailer's deal.

If you are getting an iPhone 4S this Christmas then a Tesco Mobile sim only deal will certainly be the cheapest way to enjoy your handset.
